Itinerary
- Day 1: NJP to Sillerygaon -
Pickup at NJP or Bagdogra travel to Sillerygaon, a distance covered in about 3.5 to 4 hrs.
Situated at an altitude of 6,000 ft. enjoy beautiful view of the Kanchendzonga. Overnight stay
at Sillerygaon.
- Day 2: Sillerygaon to Zuluk-Via-Aritar(optional)-
After breakfast, way to Zuluk. Visit the Aritar / Lampokhari lake and enjoy paddle boating in
the lake’s calm water (Optional and at your own cost) and make a Parikrama of this Holy
Lake. After that, stop at Rongli for Restricted Area Permit. See the Kuekhola Falls on the
way. Then go through Lingtam, Padamchen to reach Zuluk. If you so wish, you can visit the
Shivalaya Baba Mandir (No vehicle required). Cherish the sunset beauty at Zuluk from
Balasiur sunset point (Walkable distance, no vehicle required). Overnight at
Zuluk/Padamchen.
- Day 3: Zuluk OR Padam Chain Sightseeing and O/N at Zuluk-
Enjoy the morning glory of the Kanchendzonga from Golden to Silver and then enjoy the
sunrise over the hills of Bhutan, a unique view comparable to the best sunrise in India. Go
back to Zuluk after viewing sunrise and follow the Silk Route Trail after breakfast. Enjoy the
beauty of Thambi Viewpoint, LaxmiChowk, TuklaKalapokhari, Tukla Baba Mandir, Tukla
valley, Jelepla Pass View Point and reach Kupup. Don’t miss the HathiPokhari Lake. At
Kupup, see the World’s highest Golf course, the Yak Golf Course at 13025 ft (As per
Guinness Book of World Records), the Ice Hockey ground and the young Husband’s Track.
After that, move to Gnathang. Gnathang or Gnathang Valley is popularly referred to as “The
Ladakh of East India”. Rest of the day is at leisure at Zuluk.
- Day 4: Zuluk to Rishikhola-
After breakfast, check out from Zuluk proceeds to Rishikhola. A little valley situated on the
bank of the river Reshi. With the wonderful natural surroundings of lush green huge trees,
numerous Himalayan and sub-Himalayan birds. Sightseeing at Rishikhola.
- Day 5: Rishikhola to Siliguri-
After a good breakfast on the way to Siliguri/NJP/IXB with all sweet Silk route memories.
